I’ve seen some great Blakus demos using the Seaboard so I’m inclined to give that a shot as well. Similar to the AM demos, the SM demos haven’t sold me but maybe I need to look further into them. Also, I find sometimes if I’m not careful I can make the AM strings sound too synth-y. allow seamless pitch glides/bends and not have baked in vibrato). But I’ve been looking around to see what other options out there might also have a good intimate sound that would work for MPE live performances (e.g. Most of all I think they are gratifying to play in live, which can’t be said of many libraries that require careful tweaking to reach their potential. I find with a Seaboard or Linnstrument I can get some good expression from them and much of the time I‘m happy with the sound. At first I wasn’t sold based on the demos, but I decided to grab the viola (my favorite of the AM strings), and then picked up the cello and violin (my least favorite of the AM) on sale. It's a program library than the modeling ones, still an outstanding violin solo library, I got it 150 euro during BF.
Some laggy notes during live performance even if after the latest update.
SWAM ENGINE CRACK FOR MAC PATCH
It needs less CC control and sounds good out of the box, although the disadvantage is somehow lack of dynamic control(only crescendo/decrescendo note patch via KS). May get the 90 dollar version first to try. SWAM is 360 euro and SM SES is about 400 euro but has ensemble.(plus breath controller 220 euro)Ĭan't make the decision. Here's a composition by Mizuki Tachibana made with SWAM: But with some effort and proper program it sounds better than many other sample based libraries. SWAM has its sweet point and sounds less realistic in some passage, it is more a layering solo strings than Sample Modeling one. It really depends on who play them and program them, the result is hugely variable. They both need a TC breath controller to get the ultra realism, which costs 220 euro in addition.Ī lot of practice and comprehension of string instrument to sound "alive". I'm in the same situation, tough to choose from SWAM or Sample Modeling.
